Re: Progress report
-Have cache location
-Posted Dummy Coordinates
-Have part of the puzzle done
I still need to incorporate the story line into the puzzle and fine tune some information. I will also need to acquire a good container. It looks like this whole thing is starting to come together nicely.

Re: Progress report
-Locations scouted, 4 possible spots for final, all check out against other caches.
-Idea for puzzle solidly in mind, puzzle construction at about 40%
-Story written
-Waffling on dummy coords... no thematically solid place leaping to mind...

Re: Progress report
- Story written
- Puzzle 75% done
Need to:
- Find location
- Encipher location (the other 25% of the puzzle)
- Triple-check puzzle
- Oh, and you know, hiding it and stuff.

Re: Progress report
Location: scouting locations in the coal counties of Carbon, Schuylkill, Luzerne, and Columbia
Story: researching local history and lore (let me know if you are using coal mining and related figures/orgs in your puzzles)
Puzzle: storyboarding and high-level design
Cache page: nada
Update for your map: Leading candidate for the fake coords to my puzzle: 40 48 -76 21
PROGRESS UPDATE 2/15/2010:
I see you have me as puzzle = 50%. Not sure I'd call it that far along - maybe 25% FWIW, but it doesn't really matter. :-)
I'm pretty close to knowing what I want to do now and throwing out other ideas. Proof of concept soon hopefully.
Story will evolve as I construct the puzzle. They are intertwined.
Scouting and placement are probably not going to be until April. For safety, Tom and I shouldn't be hiking around Centrailia / Byrnesville (decided to definitely do it there, pending OReviewer's ok once I have my coords - going to be a multi) without the ability to see the ground. Though I would love to see what that place looks like after a heavy snow. There should be holes that remain snow-free due to the heat below ground. Wonder if there are wide swaths or just near the vents and cracks...
[snip]
Had more typed, but I'll let it be a surprise for now!

PMC2 - Scooby: Hassle in the Castle (GC28FW0) is waiting to be reviewed. Good luck everyone!
Re: Progress report
Locations scouted and cleared with New York Admin. Puzzle finished. Cache page finished. At this point, just awaiting something in the mail, at which point I'll be able to stock the containers and push the button. I would guess that a week from now I'll be published.
