Finalizing the event!
OK, everybody!!!
I talked to the Pic-A-Lilli today and we are on for the event!!!! They have the room and we are working on a buffet style menu. I will be finalizing the menu and other arrangements with them tomorrow.
The date is going to be June 12th and the menu seems like it is going to be quite varied. Wings, BBQ, salads and whatever else we can come up with. The price range seems to be reasonable. We are looking at something like $13-$15 per person. Their food is awesome and there a TON of caches in the area!
I am thinking that for the event we can have a few different things going on. I am soliciting door prizes from SJG and whoever else wants to donate, a coin or some other geocaching or puzzle related item. I need to come up with some kind of agenda for the event. I have one of our local cachers putting together a puzzle caching related crossword puzzle and I was going to make up a couple of other puzzles. Solving these will give you a chance to win prizes.
Any other suggestions? Ideas?

Re: Finalizing the event!
I heard from hostanut who said the following:
If there is such a session, I have considered giving any and all help up to and including the solution and answers BUT also archiving my PMC - The Order cache so nobody will get a freebie on a high D/T cache. If my part of the puzzle piece for the final need to stay active I will replace with another cache.

NO, don't archive a PMC Cache!
Regarding the event:
1) FOOD: Can they do a vegetarian dish? Tom and I (the lefalaf team) are both veggie. Not sure how many others there are. (No fish, chicken, turkey, beef, cat, dog, lochness monster, etc. Dairy and eggs are fine.)
2) EVENT: The following would be a neat puzzle to secretly incorporate, but since the audience is not just die hards like us (right?) maybe this event isn't the place for it. But here it is anyway should you have a clever way to incorporate it. http://www.logicmazes.com/bur.html

Jon, I had mentioned to her that we needed a vegetarian dish (I remembered you mentioning this before) and she said it should not be a problem. We will be working on the menu today. She was saying something about a pasta dish, we shall see.
That maze looks pretty cool. It may be fun. I have the crossword puzzle in the works and am looking for some other paper puzzles as well...

Re: Finalizing the event!
Wait, you're just going to tell us the date, time, and place of the event? I don't have to solve a cryptic crossword, then take every other letter, find their equivalents in Hebrew, convert the result to numbers, enter those numbers as an IP address in a browser, solve the Flash jigsaw puzzle on the site, take the musical notes from the solved puzzle and convert them to the tonal equivalents on a telephone, which then gets me the phone number of Pic-A-Lilli?

No I am giving you the time, date and place.
But...you will have to do all that to find and sign the LOG BOOK!!

In a reply to your crosspost over in the Metro New YOrk boards someone pointed out that that weekend is GeoJamboree in CT. Not sure if that matters in your planning, but thought I'd make sure you were aware of it.

I didn't see that yet. Is this going to affect you, Mike or Brett coming down? Are you coming down? Connecticut is a little out of range for most folks involved, but is close to you guys. It is the only day I could get the Pic where they could do what we wanted them to do....

Re: Finalizing the event!
I was not planning on attending the CT event no. I am up in the air about the PMC event. I'd like to come down, but haven't nailed it yet. I was planning to see if I could nudge Brett into a road trip...
