I (finally) have a puzzle for the final. It requires 17 pieces (for now) - a "board" and 16 pieces. I am in a dilemma. I may have a way to change my puzzle into the 18 required pieces, but I also have an option of putting a lock on the cache and making the 18th piece the combination. I did this for the original when I needed an even number of puzzle pieces but wound up with 17 caches due to someone dropping out. So I made 16 pieces to the puzzle and the 17th (random) cache had a code for the combo. If I cannot work out the extra piece I will do the combination, but it will not be a code. After solving the website puzzle you will get the combination.

What do you guys think? Should I try to make an 18th piece (VERY doable and probably not a problem) or do you like the combination idea?

You know the saying... "Six in one....."

BTW, adding a message from gipsie, lol...

Does it make sense to do the "board" in halves? That would give you 18 pieces.

Hmmm....sounds like a chess puzzle. Halving the board was a good idea...but i have no complaints against a combo lock either.

No, no chess..

Look to Resolution's "signal's Puzzle" (sic) for a general idea...
