Do we want shirts?

One of my fellow cachers is willing to make up some PMC t-shirts. They would have the design on the back that incorporates all 4 PMC logos and depending on what you guys think, they would read either PMC Lite, PMC2 or PMCx on the front. Or he may be able to have individual cachers names embroidered on the front.

The cost of these t-shirts would be $10 for just the back printed, $12 for the back and PMC whatever on the front and probably about $15 for the back and a personalized front.

If we get a decent amount of people willing to pre-order them, he will make them up in time for the event. Then they can be picked up and paid for at the event or any time thereafter.

What do you guys think?

I will be ordering two or three, and intend to use the extras as door prizes...

For continuity and recognizability, wouldn’t it make more sense to use the same logo style that is going on our cache pages? (as opposed to the graphic you sent in the email).

Each series has its own logo. The amount it would cost for shirts if we did each separate logo would be very, very expensive. The logo that I sent you guys combines all three series and will be what is on a coin if I can get one made....

I tried to get all three separate logos and the price went from (at the cheapest, back only shirt) $10 a shirt to almost $17 a shirt.

Less of each and there are a lot of colors...

I mis-spoke...what I meant was the logo that we each have on our cache pages, but slightly modified so that it, that is one logo, lists all 3 versions. I would love to work up an example but I am no graphic artist. For example look at the PMC 2 logo...where the "2" is at the top right. You could put lite under that, then "X" below "lite" or any order. The list of all 3 verisons can go down that right column and you have one logo that covers all 3 versions.

The other logo is ok, I just like to see continuity. Carrying over the same logo from the cache pages makes it recognizable to other cachers. Just my thoughts though.

I'm thinking these shirts would make a nice FTF prize as well.

Will there be different sizes to choose from? Anything larger than a small typically looks like a nightgown on me.

oops - sent that query before I saw your email. I'll take a small with lefalaf embroidered. I'll ask Tom if he is interested in one as well.
UPDATE: I'll take mine in black with the embroidery (assuming we can chose the color) in either a lime green like the text on this site or yellow like a smiley. White text is a decent fall back as well. Any of those should go well with the logo and the black shirt. Thanks!

We are going to be doing this as EITHER front and back or just back. If we do it just the back, let me know if you would be interested in having your caching name on the front. I have to order them all the same , except maybe for the personalization. Also let me know the size. It will be available in S, M, L and XL. Anything bigger may be extra, I am not sure.

So like, instead of the geoname, you could also do something like:

Cache name (PMC2 Chaturanga)

That is a good idea. A couple of people already ordered an extra shirt for their FTF, I will mention this to them if I can get the personalization. I am ordering two extras, one for a prize to put in the final, the other as a door prize for the event.
